Magical Sage White Sacred Organic Essential Oil - Salvia apiana
The Organic White Sage we are offering is from a small boutique distillery in the USA that is a certified organic distiller. Although the sage is wildcrafted from organically grown sage brush, the landowners in California, where the sage is sourced from, cannot afford the organic certification. This is why we are referring to this oil as a non-certified Organic Oil.
MAGICAL USES: cleansing spaces and magical objects, banishing negative energy.
BLENDS WELL WITH: camphor, lavender, rosemary, thyme, other oils high in 1,8 Cineole.
SAFETY WARNINGS: Avoid if you have a history of asthma. Avoid during pregnancy and do not use on children under 5. Never ingest essential oils without a prescription. Use carrier oil when applying to skin.
Additional Sacred White Sage Information:
White Sage is an evergreen perennial shrub found in Northwestern Mexico and Southwestern United Sates. It is commonly found in semi-arid climates extending from Southern California to Baja Mexico. Historically, white sage has been used by Native Americans for traditional herbal remedies, incense, and as a fragrant cleanser for personal hygiene. The distillation of white sage yields an essential oil with an amazing scent profile and the healing properties of the herb itself.
Traditionally, Native Americans have used white sage as a holistic remedy to cure coughs and colds as well as reduce mucous secretions of the sinuses, lungs, and throat. Furthermore, antibacterial and anti-fungal activities of several compounds have been substantiated in laboratory tests.
The aroma of white sage essential oil elicits a cool, calm, and cleansing scent that is well suited for aromatherapy and all natural bath and body products . Taking advantage of the naturally fresh and strong scent, Native American communities have used white sage as a dry body rub and shampoo for generations.
The collection of our White Sage plant material is done by Native American harvesters who have inherited their land for generations and have a vested interest in the long term sustainability of white sage. Harvesting begins in early summer, yielding the highest quality white sage. Winter and spring give the plant plenty of time to recover and promote ecological stability for future harvests.
